Erdogan’s regime allocates huge budget to build new prisons

Ankara, SANA- The Turkish regime has allocated a huge budget which is estimated at two billion Turkish liras to establish new prisons during the current year.

Turkish newspaper Zaman reported that the investment program for the year 2022, which was issued with the signature of the head of this regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, allocated a total of one billion and 988 million Turkish liras to the Ministry of Justice in order to build 64 new prisons in Turkey.

The provinces of Malatya, Konya, Mush, Tokat and Zonguldak have been included among the provinces where new prisons will be established.

Under Erdogan’s rule, Turkey is among the highest in the number of prisoners, as it comes in the eighth place in the world in terms of the number of prisoners per population as tens of thousands of opponents to Erdogan are in prisons under false pretexts and charges.
