Wooden sculptures showcased in Damascus-based exhibition

Damascus, SANA – An exhibition of wooden sculptures, being held in Damascus, contains a various combination of works that reflect creativity and skillfulness.

The sculptures are characterized with visions and expressional ideas associated with the idea of adherence to life despite all circumstances.

Organizer of the exhibition, which continues until 9th of February, artist Bahzad Suleiman, said that he attempted to showcase a collection of works sculpted by young artists and with the honorary of renowned sculptor Lutfi al-Remhain with four works.

He pointed out that wood was chosen because it is a material that could best convey the human feelings, adding “olive, pine, walnut and cypress wood are good for craving” as there are no certain topics that were obliged for the participating masterpieces.

Artist Julia Wehbe said that each participant provided his own artistic experience, adding that she presented seven works of different topics.
