Beijing: Washington failed to provide convincing explanation to its military biological activities

Beijing, SANA- China called the U.S. to present detailed explanation about its military biological activities in Ukraine and to end its unilateral position opposing to establishing multilateral mechanism to verify biological weapons.

“U.S. failed till now to present a convincing explanation to its biological activities “Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China, Zhao Lijian, said in a press conference Friday commenting on Russia’s confirmation about discovering military biological scheme in Ukraine carried out by the U.S. Defense Department.

The spokesman added “so far there are ambiguities and even contradictions in the U.S. statements, the issue that further exacerbates concerns of the international community.

Lijian asserted that the U.S. is standing alone in obstructing the establishment of multilateral verification mechanism of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC).
