Occupied Syrian Golan, SANA- Citizens of the occupied Syrian Golan have reiterated their determination to continue the struggle against the Israeli occupation till thwarting its scheme of installing wind turbines on more than four thousand dunums of their agricultural lands.
During a meeting held at the shrine of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari in al-Marj area between the occupied villages of Masada and Majdal Shams, citizens of the occupied Golan noted that the occupation is seeking, by all means, to implement its wind turbines scheme on their agricultural lands.
They stressed that after exhausting all means to stop the turbines scheme, the citizens of the Golan had no choice but to confront this scheme on the ground till thwarting it and preventing its implementation, no matter what sacrifices had to be made and at any cost.
“The occupation tries, through the wind turbines scheme, to usurp our land, for which we have sacrificed for tens of years, and it also aims to prevent urban expansion and control our lands,” the citizens affirmed in a statement, adding that if the occupier insists on proceeding with its scheme, then they are ready for the confrontation which has become irreversible matter.
Last Friday, the citizens of the Golan set up a sit-in tent in al-Manfukha area, east of Baraka village, in rejection of the occupation’s scheme as they affirmed that the land of the occupied Golan belongs to them, and they will not allow anyone to desecrate it, calling on the international community to stop this settlement scheme which aims at displacing them, and which constitutes a flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legitimacy.
