Higher Education Minister, Algerian Ambassador agree on renewing scientific capacity building program

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Higher Education Mohamed Amer al-Mardini affirmed the importance of activating scientific relations in the higher education system and setting up a joint framework for cooperation between Syrian and Algerian universities.

During a meeting Wednesday with the Algerian Ambassador in Damascus Saleh Bosha, the two sides discussed ways to develop scientific and research relations between Syria and Algeria and devise a work plan to benefit from opportunities in this regard.

For his part, the Algerian Ambassador underlined the deep Syrian-Algerian relations in various fields, particularly the scientific, pointing to the contribution of Syrian teachers in establishing Algerian universities and graduating thousands of students.

The Ambassador stressed his country’s keenness that the Algerian diplomatic mission in Syria continues its work to support Syrian people resistance under the current crisis.

Both parties agreed on renewing the executive program signed between the two countries in the field of building capacities and exchanging students and scientific expertise.
