Syrian rider Shadi Gharib wins Abu Dhabi Ghantoot International Championship

Abu Dhabi, SANA – Syrian rider Shadi Gharib won the first place in the 145cm high fences competition within the Ghantoot International Championship being held in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, atop Adamo.

Gharib’s new win is Syria’s second equestrian achievement this year after rider Hani Badran qualified for the 2015 final of the FEI World Jumping Challenge due to be held in Bulgaria in early July .

The International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) nominated Badran for the finals after he had taken the lead of his group in the qualifiers.
