Hasaka, SANA-Armenian Orthodox Bishop Magar Ashkarian expressed his gratitude to the Syrian State for the attention and care it provides to the Armenian community, noting that Syria will remain a safe place for all its citizens.

“Our beloved homeland, Syria, has been subjected to a terrorist war since 2011 with the support of dozens of countries, but thanks to the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army and the people’s stand by it, everything that was planned in this war has been thwarted.”Bishop  Ashkarian said during his meeting with Governor of Hasaka, Louay Sayoh, on Saturday.

“We pray that Syria achieves the final victory over terrorism and its supporters, and returns to what it was before, a country of security, stability and a warm place that welcomes all its social components,” he added.

For his part, governor of Hasaka affirmed that Archbishop Ashkarian’s visit to the province carries messages of love and peace, and emphasizes the national cohesion and brotherhood that characterizes Syrians.
