Aleppo Governor reaffirms commitment to facilitating humanitarian organizations’ work

Aleppo, SANA – Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan Olabi reaffirmed the Governorate’s commitment to supporting and facilitating the work of humanitarian organizations and cooperating with them to ensure that their services reach all affected people.

This came during a meeting with deputy head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Syria Beatrice Oxley on Tuesday, in which the two sides discussed the state of humanitarian and relief work and how to help affected families.

Olabi voiced appreciation for the efforts made by the ICRC and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branch in the province, particularly in the field of providing water.

For her part, Oxley affirmed commitment to delivering aid to all affected people in cooperation with the SARC and the Governorate, noting that the ICRC allocated a bigger budget for its 2015 plan in Syria.

The meeting also discussed progress in equipping the prosthetics center which is expected to become operational within two months.
