Speaker of People’s Assembly receives condolence cables from several councils and parliaments of different countries

Damascus, SANA- Speaker of People’s Assembly, Hamouda Sabbagh, received Wednesday a number of cables, letters, and phone calls from heads of councils and parliaments of brotherly and friendly countries, and a number of official figures.

Through these cables, they express their solidarity, support, sympathy, and standing by Syria in confronting humanitarian catastrophe caused by the devastating earthquake.

The cables were sent by Speaker of Iranian Shura Council Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Russia’s State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of Belarusian Republican Council Natalya Kochanova, Chairman of International Affairs Committee of Russia’s State Duma, Leonid Slutsky, as well by Chargé d’Affairs at Iraqi Embassy in Damascus, Yassin Sharif Al-Hujaimi.

As it is notable that many other cables and phone calls of solidarity and condolence over victims of the devastating earthquake were sent by several committees and councils from different countries.
