Mikdad discusses with Tajik President’s envoy impacts of the earthquake

Damascus, SANA -Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad,  discussed Thursday with the special envoy of the Tajik President, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kuwait, Dr Zabidullah Zabidov, the earthquake’s devastating effects on the Syrian people in the disaster-stricken areas.

Minister Mikdad referred to Syria’s efforts in rescue and relief operations and the negative role of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria in limiting the effects of this humanitarian catastrophe, especially in terms of securing the necessary equipment,  stressing that Syria is still counting on friends around the world in their support to address this humanitarian catastrophe.

Minister Mikdad thanked the Republic of Tajikistan, the leadership and people, for their solidarity with Syria in its ordeal, noting the deep historical relations between the two friendly countries.

Ambassador Zabidov offered condolences on behalf of the leadership and people of the Tajikistan to the leadership and people in Syria, wishing mercy for the victims and healing for the wounded.
