Syria, Bahrain to enhance cooperation in medical and relief fields

Damascus, SANA-Health Minister Hassan al-Ghabbash discussed with the Secretary-General of the Royal Bahraini Foundation for Humanitarian works, Dr. Mustafa al-Sayed and an accompanying high-level delegation, means to enhance cooperation in the medical and relief field in the interests of the quake-affected people.

“ Syria and Bahrain share genuine brotherly relations,” Minister Ghabbash said, adding discussion during the meeting concentrated on the most necessary aid at present time and coordination to deliver them to those in need.

He said that a group of Bahraini doctors will cooperate with the Syrian ones and inspect the health situation, thanking Bahrain Kingdom.

In turn, Dr. al-Sayed said that Bahrain is ready to provide all assistance that would ease the effects of the earthquake that struck Syria, adding his country sent today a plane carrying 38 tons of medical and relief materials.

He also affirmed that Bahrain will provide more assistance to the Syrian people and stand by them.
