Iranian parliamentary delegation inspects the quake-damage in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA- Deputy head of the Iranian-Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Association in the Iranian Islamic Shura Council, Abbas Kalro, affirmed his country’s solidarity with the Syrian people and continued support to face the repercussions of the earthquake catastrophe.

During a meeting, the delegation of the Iranian-Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Association and Governor of Lattakia, Amer Hilal, discussed the Province’s needs in the humanitarian, health, relief and engineering fields, and cooperation for the reconstruction of collapsing buildings, providing alternative housing for those affected.

The Governor referred to the human and material losses caused by the earthquake and the weakness of the available technical capabilities to deal with its repercussions due to the unilateral coercive Western economic sanctions.

Klaro reiterated Iran’s standing by Syria and its willingness to provide necessary aid and extend a helping hand to those affected by the earthquake.
