St. Petersburg International Economic Forum starts activities with participation of Syria

Moscow, SANA- The 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum started activities on Wednesday morning with the participation of the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Finance Minister, Dr. Kenan Yaghi.

The Syrian delegation encompasses Syrian Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, and the Honorary Consul in Petersburg, Dr. Malaz Ghazi.

The conference will continue activities till June 7th, with the participation of heads of state and government, ministers, ambassadors, officials, presidents and representatives of major Russian and international companies from many countries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is also participating in the Forum as he will deliver a speech next Friday at the conclusion of the event.

Russian sources announced that more than 17,000 people from 130 countries and territories have confirmed their participation in this year’s forum, while the United Arab Emirates is participating as a guest of honor.
