Lebanese Parliament fails again to elect new president

Beirut, SANA – Lebanese Parliament failed again in electing a new president due to the lack of the constitutional required quorum in the 21st session held for this purpose.

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said that next election session will be held on April 22.

There has been a presidential vacuum in Lebanon since May 24 when former President Michel Suleiman’s term in office ended, and since then the Parliament has failed to elect a new president.
