Syria participates in 7th Baghdad Flower Festival after it was ranked first in previous edition

Damascus, SANA – A large number of Syrian exporters are having their products displaced at the 7th Baghdad International Flower Festival, whose activities kicked off on Thursday in Zawra Park in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.

In its participation in the previous edition of the Festival, that was held last April, the month when the festival is held annually, the Syrian pavilion was ranked first among pavilions of 11 countries and 70 foreign companies.

Member of the Syrian Exporters Union, head of the Agricultural Committee, Iyad Mohammad said
Syria’s participation this year is marked by being diverse and wide as an array of activities will be held on the festival’s sidelines.

The Syrian delegation will hold flower arrangement training workshops and floral design lectures, in
addition to an event to talk about the special Damascene rose.

The festival, which will last for a week, includes the participation of Egypt, Sudan, the US,Turkey, Italy and Germany, in addition to scores of specialized agricultural and flower companies.
