Damascus, SANA – The exchange rate of the US dollar (USD) against the Syrian pound (SYP) marked a drop on Sunday after the authorities concerned have injected massive amounts of the US dollar in the market with a price of SYP 275 per 1 USD.

Following the injections, which have continued in the past days, a number of currency exchange companies started selling large amounts of the US dollar with the same price of the injections.

Today’s exchange rate of the USD against the SYP was set by the Central Bank of Syria (CBS) at SYP 260.67 for banks and 260.70 for currency exchange companies.

The price of the USD for transfers was set at SYP 259.41.

The CBS set the exchange rate of the Euro against the SYP at 291.93 for banks, 291.96 for currency exchange companies and 290.51 for transfers.
