Hasaka governor and ICRC discuss joint cooperation in health sector

Hasaka, SANA- Hasaka governor Mohammad Za’al al-Ali discussed on Wednesday with a delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) relief work in the province and joint cooperation in health sector.

The governor presented a review about the conditions of hospitals, health centers and medical checkpoints in the province and the difficulties that hinder the provision of health services to citizens, as well as the damage that affected the health sector in Hasaka.

الحسكة-12-300x214Al-Ali stressed the necessity of allocating the largest portion of support for Hasaka National Hospital which needs repairing and new medical equipment, affirming the governorate’s readiness to offer all that is needed to facilitate ICRC work.

For her part, Karin Helena Aiello, who is the manager of health program at ICRC, said that the visit aims to inspect the reality of Hasaka National Hospital so as to provide it with the necessary support, adding that the delegation will visit al-Malikiya and Ras al-Ayn hospitals soon.
