Russian delegation visits temporary housing center

Damascus, SANA- The General Women Union on Friday organized a tour for a visiting Russian women’s delegation to “The Golden Knight” temporary housing center in Bab Mousalla neighborhood in Damascus to meet the people displaced by the armed terrorist organizations.

The Russian women’s delegation, headed by Chairwoman of the Russian Spiritual Heritage Foundation of St. Paul, Valentina Lantseva, arrived on Monday on a 6-day visit to Syria.

Members of the delegation expressed confidence that Syria will win the war against terrorism thanks to the steadfastness of its people.

In a statement to journalists, Lantseva appreciated the resilience and the high morale of the Syrian people, expressing the Russian people’s support to the Syrians in the face of the terrorist war launched against their homeland.

Lantseva added that she came to Syria to express Russia’s solidarity with Syria, indicating that she has many friends in Syria and that she usually prays for the end of the crisis in it.

In a similar statement, Chairwoman of the General Women Union Majida Qutait referred to the role of the union in enhancing bilateral relations with other countries, highlighting the outstanding relations binding the union and other organizations, particularly in the friendly countries.

Qutait clarified that the Russian delegation had made a number of tours to inspect the current situation in Syria through meeting the people who have been affected by the current crisis, and to see the results of the cosmic war launched against Syria.
