WHO delegation inspects Daraa National Hospital

Daraa, SANA- A delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO) visited on Tuesday Daraa National Hospital to inspect the required basic needs of the hospital as to improve services provided to citizens.

Chairman of the delegation Prof. Olivier said that the visit aims at inspecting the needs of the hospital to offer services in a best way, hailing the efforts exerted by the Syrian government to provide citizens with medical services in spite of the current difficult conditions and the damages which affected the health sector due to terrorist acts.

For his part, Dr. Abd al-Wadoud al-Homsi, Head of Daraa Health Directorate said that WHO  visit is very important to stand at the basic needs of the hospital like a new power generation group, incubators for kids and the need for rehabilitating  the kidney section in addition to medicines.

In turn, Dr. Farid al-Assfar, Director of Daraa National Hospital said that the hospital, during the current circumstances, offers only emergency health services and minor surgery operations.
