DPRK conducts a successful test of a new intercontinental ballistic missile

Pyongyang, SANA, The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (KCNA) had conducted a successful test of a new engine for an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

DPRK’s Central News Agency (KCNA) said Saturday that the country’s Leader Kim Jong Un supervised the successful test, pointing out that the engine was ignited at Kim’s command and released a fiery blast, and the test showed the indigenously designed rocket fulfilled all required conditions.

“Now we can mount an ever more powerful nuclear warhead on a new intercontinental ballistic rocket and put the den of evil in the United States within our strike range,” Leader Kim said in a comment over the test, KCNA reported.

The test was conducted at the country’s missile station near its west coast where in February it launched a long-range rocket that put an object into space orbit and was supervised by Kim, KCNA said.

The UN Security Council imposed early March a series of sanctions against Pyongyang after the latest placed in February a satellite in the Orbit for research purposes and tested a hydrogen bomb test in January.
