Syria wins two silvers and one bronze in West Asian Junior Athletics Championships

Manama, SANA – Syria’s national athletics team won on Thursday three medals, two silver and one bronze, in West Asian Junior Athletics Championships held in Bahrain.

The medals were earned on the first day of the championships in track and field competitions.

The two silver medals went to Fatima Rayya, who came second in 3000m steeplechase, and to Rima Jaafar, who won the second place in long jump.

Alaa Laila came in the third place winning the bronze medal in 100m hurdles.

The championship will last until next Saturday.
