Patriarch Yazigi: We believe that at the end of Via Dolorosa lies justice

Damascus, SANA – A Mass was held at Mariamite Cathedral of Damascus, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All East, Monday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus the Christ.
During the Mass presided by Greek Orthodox Patriarch John X Yazigi, his Beatitude said that We are living a sort of resurrection during the hard times our country or so to speak the whole region is going through as to remember that we are not people of fragility but rather we are peace seekers, believing that at the end of Via Dolorosa lies justice.

He added that we pray for peace and stability of our country, stressing that the Syrians have always been tolerate and they respect the beliefs of their fellows having a culture free of extremism or terrorism.

Patriarch Yazigi reaffirmed that the Syrians, whether Christians or Muslims, are deeply-rooted and will remain in the country as one family.
On Sunday, Christian denominations in Syria, who follow the Eastern calendar, celebrated Easter, the resurrection of Jesus the Christ.
