Syria wins bronze medal in Kurash at Children of Asia International Sports Games

Sakha, SANA – Syrian player Mohammad Omran Ajinah won on Thursday the bronze medal in the Kurash competition within the Children of Asia International Sports Games, hosted by Sakha Republic in Russia.

Ajinah won the medal in the 45kg category after he beat a Siberian player.

The Syrian female player Louris Dannon earlier won the gold medal in the 800 race and the silver medal in 1500 run within the Games.

2000 athletes from 39 countries took part in the Games, which will continue until next Sunday. Syria is participating with 50 players in 11 games, including boxing, judo, Kurash, Sambo, chess, ping-pong, wrestling, athletics, archery, swimming and taekwondo.
