People’s Assembly discusses performance of Interior Ministry

Damascus, SANA-People’s Assembly held on Sunday its seventh session for the second legislative term, headed by its Speaker Hadiyeh Khalaf Abbas.

The session was dedicated to discuss the performance of the Interior Ministry.

Dr. Abbas stressed the importance of following up the citizens’ complaints concerning the Ministry of Interior by the members of the People’s Assembly and not to neglect any complaint, noting at the same time to the heroic actions of the internal security forces.

In turn, Interior Minister Mohammad al-Shaar pointed out to the war waged on Syria as terrorists participating from more than 100 countries, saying that the Internal Security Forces were the first who suffered the terrorist acts and paid the price, adding that fighting crimes is part of this war since the gangs in all their forms destabilize the security.

The Minister talked about combating crimes in all their forms, particularly kidnapping, theft and cars robbery, noting that the ministry brought the perpetrators of these crimes to judiciary and was able to restore the stolen cars, asserting that the Interior Ministry will not tolerate abduction.

He said that Syria suffers from the problem of controlling borders through which terrorists move from Turkey and Jordan, affirming that all identity cards and passports which fell in the hands of the armed gangs are known and their numbers were published to the Interpol, all the Syrian embassies and friendly countries.
