UN Security Council to hold meeting on Syria on September 21st

New York, SANA – President of the UN Security Council Gerard van Bohemen announced that a high-level meeting on Syria is going to be held on the morning of the 21st of September.

Van Bohemenn, who is New Zealand’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, told reporters on Thursday that “Members are expected to discuss the “political initiative” that UN Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura is preparing to help revive the stalled Syria talks.

The meeting will be presided over by New Zealand’s Prime Minister John Key, according to Van Bohemen.
