Thursday weather forecast: Temperatures still below average, rain showers expected

Damascus, SANA – The temperatures will slightly rise, yet they will remain from 1 to 3 degrees below average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general and rain showers might fall over the northwestern and coastal areas while snow will fall over the high mountains.

The wind will be southerly to southeasterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be medium in height.

Tomorrow, the skies will be partly cloudy in general and rain showers are expected in the northwestern and coastal areas while snow will fall over the mountains and the temperatures will remain from 2 to 3 degrees below average.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 13/2, Daraa13/4, Homs 14/3, Lattakia 17/10, Aleppo 10/1, and Deir Ezzor 14/4.
