Damascus, SANA – Caretaker Minister of Higher Education Malik Ali discussed with the directors of university hospitals and deans of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at Damascus University means of hospital boosting work at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and raising its educational level.
The Minister affirmed the need for developing the educational aspect and training curriculum for postgraduate students at the hospital in coordination with the other university hospitals.
Ali said that a committee led by assistant Higher Education Minister was formed to set mechanism for inaugurating Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery departments at al-Mwasat and al-Assad University Hospital.
For their part, directors of the university hospitals expressed readiness to cooperate for securing all equipment that the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery hospital need.
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery hospital was inaugurated at the Faculty of Dentistry in 1996. It contains 20 beds, 14 teaching members and 50 postgraduate students.
