Martyrs’ families and electricity workers honored in Quneitra

Quneitra, SANA – An honoring ceremony was held Sunday for families of a number of martyrs in the southern province of Quneitra.

The ceremony was held by caretaker Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Hiadar and Governor Man Salah-Eddin Ali.

The honoring is meant to express appreciation for the sacrifices of the martyrs, who lost their lives while defending the homeland.

“The martyrs’ families and relatives are a source of pride for us,” said Haidar, stressing that Syria has never bowed down throughout its history and nor will it do now in the face of terrorism and the conspiracies hatched against it.

He praised the people of the Syrian Golan occupied by the Israeli enemy, saying “they have always raised the banner of resistance and will always do.”

25 electricity workers were also honored in appreciation of their efforts in keeping power on for the citizens in Quneitra.

The ceremony was concluded with distributing 10 wheelchairs for disabled people by Quneitra branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
