Army regains control over 1800 square kilometers in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor, SANA- Army units regained control over new wide areas in Deir Ezzor Badiya after eliminating the remnants of Daesh (ISIS) terrorists who have infiltrated into these areas over the past period.

A military source said that army units, in cooperation with the allied forces, on Sunday implemented a concentrated operation on ISIS dens, regaining control over an area of 1800 square kilometers and reaching the Iraqi borders at the point /400/ to the west of al-Boukamal .

The source added that a large number of ISIS terrorists were killed in the army’s operations, in addition to destroying their military equipment.
