Interior minister: Terrorist attacks aim to liquidate Palestinian cause

Damascus, SANA-Interior Minister Mohammad al-Shaar discussed with a  delegation from the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) the situation  of the Palestinians inside camps and their suffering due to the crimes of  armed terrorist organizations.

The minister affirmed Syria’s support for the right of Palestinians to  restore their territories, right to return and establish their state with  Jerusalem as its capital.

Al-Shaar also said that Syria supports the Palestinian people’s resistance  against the Israeli attempts to Judaise Jerusalem and liquidate the  Palestinian cause.

The minister pointed out that the terrorist attacks against the camps are  part of the scheme that aims to liquidate the Palestinian issue.

The Syrian government is working on adopting the necessary measures to  provide all the needs and requirements for the Palestinians inside the  camps.

For his part, PLO Executive Committee member Ahmad Majdalani, who headed  the delegation, reviewed the situation in Palestine and the recent Israeli  escalation against the people of Jerusalem and against al-Aqsa Mosque.

Majdalani asserted that the Palestinian leadership will request that the  Security Council and international organizations act to stop this  escalation, asserting that both the Syrian and Palestinian leaderships are  committed to working to alleviate the suffering of the people of Yarmouk  Camp and remove terrorists from it.
