Worldwide coronavirus death toll exceeds 3 million and 477 thousand

Capitals, SANA-The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than 3 million and 477 thousand people worldwide since its outbreak in December 2019, according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website, which tracks the latest developments of the virus.

The website added that the total number of infections worldwide has climbed to 167,501,943 while the recoveries have amounted to 167,501,943.

The US is still on top of the worst-hit countries by the virus in terms of the number of infections and fatalities after recording 604,075 fatalities out of 33,895,500 infections, while India comes in the second place with 303,751 deaths out of 26,751,681 infections.

Brazil comes in the third place with 449, 068 coronavirus deaths out of 16,083,258 infections.
