Culture Minister discusses several cultural projects with Italian delegation

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubanah Mshaweh, has discussed with an Italian delegation from the Venice Association for Italian-Arab Friendship a set of cultural projects, including the “Aleppo Pine” project, which is concerned with exchanging artifacts between the two friendly countries through a memo of understanding between the Naples Museum and Syrian museums.

The project is accompanied by various cultural activities that reflect the civilized image of Syria, in addition to an educational project for children and adolescents through an illustrated book translated into Arabic and Italian, and the exchange of educational visits between the two friendly countries.

Dr. Mshaweh affirmed that Syria is the gateway to the East and the West, and it has been a bridge between all civilizations, underscoring the importance of this cooperation in the antiquities project, which highlights the features of Syrian civilization and the efforts made to preserve its antiquities, especially during the war that has been waged against it.

The Minister of Culture highly appreciated the work of the Italian excavation mission in Amrit and welcomed the building of strong relations for future cooperation between the two countries within the legal frameworks.
