Mikdad discusses with Tunisian and Omani counterparts the situation in Gaza

Damascus, SANA-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Mikdad, held a telephone call with Tunisian counterpart, Nabil Ammar, during which they discussed developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the brutal crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against our people in the Strip.

Minister Mikdad stressed the need to come up with a unified Arab position to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip and provide relief and assistance to them with the participation of countries and forces that support Palestinian rights and condemn the crimes committed by “Israel” in the Gaza Strip, especially its criminal violations of human rights, its heinous disregard for international humanitarian law, and its killing of children and destroying hospitals.

For his part, Minister Ammar affirmed Tunisia’s support for the Palestinian people and its rejection of the Israeli aggressive war and its practices against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, stressing the necessity of urgent action to stop this aggression and that Tunisia is making every effort to achieve this.

Minister Ammar also condemned the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the people of Gaza with the support of external forces.

In a phone call, Mikdad discussed with his Omani counterpart, Badr al- Busaidi, the dangerous developments of the situation in Palestine and the killing, destruction and siege that people are exposed to in Gaza Strip.

Mikdad noted the importance of exerted Arab and international efforts to stop this Israeli aggression and the massacre committed by the Zionist occupation army against the people of Gaza Strip.

He underlined that the significance of delivering the humanitarian and food aid and restoring water and electricity to about two million Palestinians living in Gaza Strip.

In turn, al-Busaidi stressed that what is happening is a result of the continued illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and its ongoing attacks on the Palestinians, affirming the necessity of stopping the aggression against the people of Gaza and allowing humanitarian relief aid to enter them and the importance of working to exert efforts to save the Palestinian people from the clutches of aggression and its disastrous effects.
