Syrian community in Czech pledge adherence to homeland on Independence Day

Prague, SANA – The Syrian community in the Czech Republic said the Syrian people are today resolved more than any time before to preserve their independence, as the 69th anniversary of the evacuation of French occupiers from Syria (Independence Day) is celebrated.

In a statement on the occasion, which is marked on April 17th, the expatriates vowed that they and their fellow Syrians back home will firmly adhere to defending the sovereignty of their homeland and its independent decision.

They hailed the victories which the Syrian army has achieved against terrorism throughout the past four years, expressing confidence that the army will foil the internationally and regionally led plot that seeks to determine Syria’s unity and key role in the region.
