Syrians in Hungary celebrate Independence Day

Budapest, SANA “The Forum for Syria” held a festivity marking the 69 anniversary of Syria’s Independence Day in al-Arz Mall in the Hungarian capital of Budapest on Sunday.

The festivity, which came within Syrian Community’s celebrations, was attended by Hungarian and Arab cultural figures and
politicians in addition to members of the Syrian Community.

Celebrating the Independence Day under the continued foreign-backed terrorist aggression against Syria is something distinguished and has special meaning, Head of the Forum Joel Bisharah said.

Member of the Central Committee of Hungarian Workers Party, Journalist Benovsky Gabor, expressed, his party’s and all peace-loving powers across the world, support to Syria in the face of the barbaric aggression against it.

Chairman of the association of the Arab Community in Hungary Hassan Ali hailed the sacrifices and heroism of the Syrian Arab army in facing the barbaric terrorist aggression against Syria.

Representative of the Iraqi cultural club Hussein Jihad Dawoud hailed Syria’s key role on the Arab arena and in defending the honor and dignity of the Arab Nation.

In a relevant context, members of the Syrian community held a festivity marking the Independence Day at the Champions Square in the Hungarian Capital.

The festivity was attended by Venezuelan Ambassador in Hungary and a number of Hungarian citizens.

The Hungarian citizens expressed support to Syria and its people, calling on their government to adopt a more realistic policy towards the events in Syria.
