Interior Minister: Upholding law and order without any preferential treatment

Damascus, SANA – Interior Minister Gen. Mohammad al-Shaar stressed the importance of upholding law and order in a manner removed any preferential treatment and of respecting citizens’ rights.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony for military training of internal security forces officers on Friday, al-Shaar said that Syria will continue to fight terrorism until all of the country is safe and secure, asserting that terrorism serves the interests of Israel and the U.S. interests in the region.

He stressed the importance of training, morals, and values in the work of internal security, and that training is an ongoing process that doesn’t end, calling on the graduating officers to be role models and be fair in their treatment of their subordinates.
