Syria’s Grand Mufti takes part in ceremony marking Prophet Mohammad’s Birthday in Tehran

Tehran, SANA- Muslims in Iran celebrated Prophet Muhammad’s birthday with participation of Syrian Grand Mufti Ahmad Bader-Eddin Hassoun.

Mufti Hassoun is taking part in the 29th Islamic Unity conference held currently in the Iranian capital of Tehran under the motto “The Challenges facing the Islamic World” with participation of delegations from 70 countries.

Grand Mufti pointed out, in his speech at the ceremony, that Prophet Mohammad’s birthday reminds us of mercy and purging our hearts from all rancor, as Islam is a religion of peace, love and mercy.

He added that committing to the true Islam is the only way for facing the ordeals targeting the Islamic world, noting “We pray for security, peace, stability and amity prevail in the region and the whole world.”
