Tehran, SANA- Syrian under-15 basketball team won over Jordan 55-53 in the competitions of the West Asia Under-15 Basketball Championship held in Tehran.

The event started last Friday with participation of Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan, while Palestine and Yemen made an apology not to participate.

The Syrian team lost his first match to Lebanon 52-81 and is due to play against Iran on Sunday and the last match will be with Iraq next Tuesday.

The first three teams will qualify to Asia Cup finals.
