Geneva, SANA- UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura called on Thursday for exerting joint efforts to re-launch the political process in Syria.
In a press conference in Geneva, de Mistura said that there is a plan to resume the political process on February 8.
He expressed welcome to all initiatives, including the proposed meeting in Astana because “the goal is to hold an inclusive political process.”
He also welcomed the statement issued by Russia, Iran and Turkey about Syria and hailed the US role in the Geneva track and the efforts made by US Secretary of State John Kerry.
